Enjoy a revitalising hike to Plattenrain and take a contemplative break in the meditation chapel. The hike begins in Arzl, around a 30-minute drive away from our Alpine hotel in Austria, and takes approximately three hours. From Arzl, take a winding path up to Plattenrainalm and then continue to the chapel, which you’ll reach after around two hours. It’s an inspiring place, a contemporary sacred space far away from traffic noise and the stresses of daily life. It was designed by local artists and architects and built using natural and local resources. Above the elliptical chapel, there is an approximately 10m-high cone, and the interior is decorated with various sculptures and works of art. Here, in an idyllic panoramic setting and surrounded by pure peace, you’ll find it easy to replenish your energy. Take time for yourself, decompress, and enjoy the contemplative atmosphere of the meditation chapel.
