The Pitztal Glacier Cross-Country Skiing Centre, at an impressive 2,740 metres above sea level, is a favourite among cross-country skiing enthusiasts, especially those staying at the Sportalm. Conveniently located near the Mittelberg cable car, this area offers ideal skiing conditions from October to May, along with breathtaking views of the Tyrolean mountains. After riding the Gletschersee cable car to the top, you can access 6 kilometres of high-altitude trails – 3 kilometres dedicated to classic skiing and 3 kilometres to skating.

On the high-altitude trail at Lake Rifflsee, you can immerse yourself in the snow-covered wilderness and soak up the unique winter atmosphere. This close contact with nature is precisely why cross-country skiing continues to grow in popularity as a gentle yet effective winter sport. Glide through the winter landscape on five kilometres of trails dedicated to the classic style and five kilometres groomed for skating.

Stretching 21 kilometres along the Pitzbach stream from Mandarfen, this trail is ideal for skiers of all abilities. Depending on the snow conditions, it is typically open from late November until March or April, making it a great place to enjoy winter with the whole family.
